Government Loans
Your business may qualify for government-backed loans offered through federal, state or regional lending institutions. Axis will pre-qualify your business and match your financing needs with all government loan options available to you.
*Small Business Administration (SBA) business loans:
- 7(a) – The most used loans for small and medium-sized (SME) for-profit enterprises. Maximum loan is $2 million with terms of the loan of 25 years for real estate and 7 years for working capital.
- 504 – Offered through the Certified Development Company (CDC) the 504 program is long-term fixed rate financing for businesses with fixed assets such as real estate and equipment. Loan amount up to $1.3 million with 10 or 20 year maturities.
- Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program assisting small and larger for-profit and non-profit organizations in the repair, rebuilding and recovery as the result of a declared disaster. Loan amounts are dependent on the amount of economic injury caused by the disaster.
*USDA loans are government guaranteed loans to agricultural/farming businesses or other supporting industries such as Farm Ownership, Farm Storage Facility, Farm Operating and Fisheries Finance programs.
*Government-backed loans for specific industries such as exporters; regional and state government loan programs for local core industries such as manufacturers; nationality specific loans such as the Indian Loan Guaranty program for Native American tribes and individuals.
*Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) – Combines private equity capital and long-term loans for mature, later stage and profitable businesses. Subordinated debt with equity enhancements from $2 million to $10 million.
